Without having actual access to the equipment - we cannot rule out problems with the equipment in photos that are submitted to us, or other explanations. For this reason - we have added the comments we can, and leave it up to you.

It was midnight on my Birthday (2007), and my cat was starting to freak out a bit. She ran into my bedroom and stared at the antique dresser (circa 1905 that still has the original mirror). When I offered her favorite treat to her, she ignored it and continued staring towards the dresser. I picked up my digital camera, and took 3 photos in succession without moving. In the first two there was nothing. In the third, this is what I caught.

There was nothing in the room to reflect this. No pictures, anything that would give this impression of an old woman's face. If you look, her face looks tilted to the right. You can see her hairline, her eyes, her nose and her mouth which looks wrinkled and 'stretched'. I went back, stood there exactly where I was and took more photos, but nothing showed up, and my cat wasn't freaked out anymore. Someone mentioned to me this photo if you add on 40 years to my life, looks like me. The spooky thing is, my sister who owned the mirror before me told me (after showing her this photo) - that when she was a kid, she was looking into it, and suddenly saw herself as an old woman.

I doubt this is a magic mirror. But ironically or just coincidence, I had purchased an antique silver amulet that was owned by a 95 year old white witch (who is passed now). I was told that she would show herself to me in some way, could this be her?

TAPIS: This photo is very interesting, and is not tampered with. Could it be a reflection of something in the room? I know the person, and this isn't her reflection, nor would she have any reason to try and 'fake' a photo. We saw the room, and could not find anything that could have caused this. With an antique mirror, there will be wear in the back, causing some of the mirror to not give a reflection anymore. The mirror has some wear on it, but not to make this pattern, even with the flash. Our conclusion so far, this still might be able to be explained in logical terms, but we haven't ruled anything else out yet.

Interesting note though, you can see eyes , a hairline, jawline and a thing mouth. We know the person who submitted this, and if you aged her to about 83, this would be a very good simulation of what she would look like.

My daughter-in-law took a pic of my son sitting on the couch with her new digital camera and captured picture "Orb 1". When she showed me, I asked her to take another (within 30 seconds) and she captured "Orb 2". My son asked to see them, so she sat next to him (where the orb was) and showed him these 2 pictures. He then asked her to take another picture - "No Orb" and the orb was gone. These three pictures were taken within approx. 2 minutes of one another.

Note from TAPIS/HAPIA - the two orbs in the first two photos are very interesting, they are not your everyday dust orbs, but look similar to plasma orbs (but have less consistency)

TAPIS/HAPIA: Its more than likely just a reflection from the brass stand in the background reflecting to the wall. When taking pictures with flashes, it can cause reflections like this if there are any mirrors or other reflective objects in the room. We have even seen photos where the reflection was off of a woman's earring. But thank you for the submission!

My brother and I went to the cemetery to take some photos, as we entered the cemetery, my brother took the first photo, he was standing about 15-20 feet away from what we think is a spirit of some kind. The spirit looked like it was coming from behind the thing where they put the ashes. We are sure that the picture that we took is something paranormal, we just want your take on the picture. Also if you could zoom in on it, its like you can see some faces in it. I hope to hear from you soon, as we would like to know what it is for sure.

From HAPIA (now TAPIS) - we couldn't see the faces, but mist is quite interesting. A couple of our investigators question if someone was behind the monument breathing out on the cold day - or blowing smoke? If those were ruled out, it does make for an interesting photo.

Myself and my children moved into this vacant home one year ago, it had not been lived in since the owner's son had died in it 4 years ago. My health has determinate in this last year drastically. I noticed lights on and doors would be open when we would arrive home at first after making sure they were off and closed before leaving. In the last week I have heard bangs under the house, scratching at the top of the doors, knocking on my headboard and have been afraid to sleep in my bed and the children also afraid. We have seen what they call shadow people, and I heard unearthly human grunt groan from the bedroom. My mother and I decided to do a house cleansing ritual but before we did we decided to take pictures to see if anything would show up. The pictures are of the only rooms that had these ORBS the other rooms didn't at that time. The bedroom pics that look similar were taken about 1 hour apart but I emailed the pics to my mom so I could pull them up at my mom's home when I got there, there were hundreds of all different size ORBS which are hard to see on this image but clear on the original pic and also still on the camera.. After seeing these pics I grabbed the kids up off the sofa and left everything. The feelings I have been feeling were very negative and not at all positive

In a couple of photos, there is dust particles - this explains the 'sea of orbs' most people get on their digital cameras, but these don't have the same attributes as those 'dust orbs'.

Name of photo/evp/video/story: 100 year old house w/history

Description and Date of incident: Started Feb.1, 2006…….still happening. After having a tenant leave an apartment above the area we occupy we went up to asses the damage. My son and his friend felt something in the apartment. The next night they went up to take some photos and entered a part of the attic which is never used. The first 2 pictures were taken the first night. The 3^rd picture was taken the next night by me. Before I took the pictures on night 2 I sat and talked in the dark, letting the energies (which I will refer to them for now) know they were welcome in our home. The 4^th picture was taken in the room below where my son and his friend first had the feeling they weren’t alone. These orbs all have faces and I have some incredible pictures which I will not publish until someone who knows more about this stuff tells me I am not crazy.

HAPIA; Usually one has to watch when taking pictures with a digital camera in an 'attic' or basement - there usually is lots of dust particles that can show up as 'orbs'. The picture on the upper right however, is interesting. You see what appears to be an 'orb' in motion, and there is nothing for the flash to reflect on to create this. We have also enhanced the photos by clarifying them - to show that there isn't the 'sea' of dust particles behind the ones that are noticeable. Also note: we appreciate the public sharing their photos - even if they turn out to be explained. We don't consider someone crazy if they are capturing something they cannot explain themselves. Its important that teams such as ours cooperate with the public, as well as other teams all findings, so maybe we can come a little closer to understanding what this 'phenomenon' is.

These are a few photos we took just as memory while moving my sister out of her old home. We have always had the feeling of a presence being in the house while we were in the home. The basement being the room where we felt it the most especially in the staircase down to the basement. One incident occurred when the basement door slammed shut, No breeze or wind was in the house, for the door to slam shut a person would of had to do it as there was a wall behind the door. These photos were taken in the upstairs kitchen and the one outside was the door to the basement from the outside. you can see an Orb to the left of the doorway outside of the home. After my mom and I left this house on June 21st my sister stayed behind to gather her thoughts and relax for a few moments before leaving the home for good. As she laid on the couch she felt a very strong feeling of someone watching her. I guess now after seeing these photos we know someone or something was watching her.

HAPIA: These photos are interesting. We have seen photos where people tried to 'fake' the same effect by using cigarette smoke, etc. However, the consistency of the 'smoke' is not consistent with cigarette's. If you look at the last picture, you will see a horizontal 'vortex' shape - and on the left hand side at the same time a '&" shape. The picture of the 'orb' as well has more consistency than others we have seen. Unfortunately some would say that this might be dust particles (even if there is just one) - But I find the following very interesting....

This photo was submitted, we have not yet 'enhanced' it to bring out the backgrounds, etc. The second one is the same photo with enhancement to bring out the background...

It could be a trick of the eyes, but it almost seems like you can see the profile of a woman, looking towards the right, with a bun in her hair, within a very faint, large orb. Again this photo was not doctored, it was enhanced by clarification.

Took this on a whim, felt I had to for whatever reason. Wanted to catch the moon over the truck. The one on the truck's roof is interesting if you zoom in on it, I took 2 more in succession, to see if it was reflections after reviewing the original on the digital preview thingy. The reflections in the windshield were consistent, nothing else was there.

HAPIA:

The only 'tampering' we did with the photos, was to black out the name and markings on the truck to help keep this persons identity private. The first picture, above the building to the left, is the moon. But you notice on the top of the truck, and of course to the right side of the pictures, you see 'orbs' in motion.

This is one of the most interesting photos of an orb we have seen submitted to us to this date (2006)

. You can see this object, clearly in motion. And when you switch it to a negative, it seems to have 'consistency'. We can rule out this is not dust, anything on the lens, humidity, bugs, or pixel distortions. But the problem is, we cannot say what it is with 100% confidence. But we are leaning towards that this might be a photo of an actual orb. We leave it up to you to decide.
